Many of the tables that we stock are solid wood and can be treated with a special 'restaurant' finish if they are to receive heavy use to help preserve the finish under tougher conditions. We would always advise on suitability, as under some circumstances solid wood would be less useful than a veneered table, for example in a conservatory.
